Yeah it works, but the source itself seems to be down.? I took a screenshot, opened in gimp, made a new layer, blacked out the parts I wanted shaded on that layer, changed the layer opacity to 60%, deleted the botton layer (the screenshot), saved the transparent layer as a PNG file for next time, opened my background image as a layer, scaled and cropped it to the correct size for my monitor, moved below the transparent layer, and exported to a new file, and set the new image as my background. I'm not sure exactly how you you would do this, but I believe it would be possible with conky. another image with shades in the correct places is laid over the background image. Background image is modified with shaded areas according to placement of the itemsĢ. Transparent panel, transparent conky, some kind of weather radar widget, and then one of two things:ġ. This is the best Desktop Design I have ever seen, I would love to do this but have no idea how. I commented the script a lot in the event that you have any ambition to learn more bash. This should make drag-n-drop customisation easier. You can browse around in the "sorted" folder It's not a long script, takes a while to run cause it has to do several operations thousands of times. You'll know the script is done when "Files" disappears. The script makes a file called "Files" while it is running. If you run it in from some other directory, crazy **** will happen (nothing will break, but you will get a folder with all the PNG and SVG files in subdirectories sorted in some really crazy way, and probably some error messages). If you put it in another theme, it will reverse the directory organisation there. If you put in in one of the Faenza folders, it will sort it like normal themes (size/type). It will create a folder named "sorted" and copy all the files into it the new directory arrangement.
So if you wanna take a crack at it, I'm all ears.ĭrop that little guy in the folder you want to resort and run it. Then I immediately changed back because Humanity is ugly and Faenza is awesome. I copied to ~/.icons, changed the folder name, then went into the index and changed the name to match the name of the folder, changed the inherits to "Humanity" and I had my Faenza status and action icons (since that's all that's in faenza dark, basially), and the application and palaces icons were Humanity. Pondering new ideas. It worked for me with faenza-dark. icons, changes the name to faenz, changed inherits to gnome-colors-statler, but it just remains the same. Host: | Kernel: $kernel | RAM: $mem/$memmax | Disk usage: $%ī) I've tried something. Own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager conkyrc, but first find Radio Space fonts and move it to your. Look for the "position" variable, to move the window. I made conky run but i cant move the window.is there a how to? And your configuration would be nice, i could use that for my KDE, as i set it up for eyecandy to showoff Ubuntu at school )Įdit: i would also like suggestions for a DE and plugins for graphical showoff.
